The company hones its emergency response capabilities through realistic training and strengthens its safety foundation by conducting thorough hazard inspections, working tirelessly to build an impenetrable safety protection network across the plant premises.
This drill was centrally planned and overseen by the company’s senior management, with continuous supervision throughout. Zhang Liming, Head of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department, provided on-site command and served as the instructor. At the drill site, Zhang Liming conducted on‑site instruction covering essential fire‑prevention knowledge, procedures for handling incipient fires, proper techniques for operating dry‑powder fire extinguishers, and key strategies for escaping and self‑rescue in a fire. He also analyzed typical fire‑accident cases to identify risks and draw lessons, transforming specialized fire‑safety expertise into practical skills that employees can easily understand, remember, and apply. During the hands-on fire‑extinguishing exercise, trainees followed the operating procedures step by step: picking up the extinguisher, removing the pin, gripping the nozzle, and pressing the valve. Their movements were smooth and their responses calm as they aimed precisely at the base of the flame, successfully completing the live‑fire suppression drill. This practical training enabled them to master the proper use of firefighting equipment, while significantly enhancing their emergency response capabilities and sense of teamwork.
The drill was conducted in tandem with efforts to identify and address safety hazards, adhering to the principle of “improving through drills and strengthening foundations through inspections.” A comprehensive inspection was carried out on the plant’s fire‑fighting equipment, fire‑prevention measures in key operational areas, and the unobstructed status of emergency evacuation routes, establishing a closed-loop management system.
