On November 14, a delegation of teachers from Fuyang Normal University visited Anhui Gurite New Material Technology Co., Ltd. in Fuyang Economic Development Zone for an on-site exchange, jointly exploring new pathways for cultivating application-oriented talents.
At the Gurtite company showroom, an array of rich physical exhibits, detailed technical display panels, and engaging video presentations systematically outline the company’s dynamic journey—from its humble beginnings to its vibrant growth. Members of the delegation paused to examine the displays closely, asking insightful questions that delved into everything from the core product portfolio to cutting-edge R&D initiatives—and even explored the company’s wide-ranging applications across various industries. Through this comprehensive interaction, they gained a thorough and in-depth understanding of this high-tech enterprise, which specializes in regenerated carbon black and rubber additives.
"The 'Joint Research and Development Center for Green Nanomaterials,' established in collaboration with Beijing University of Chemical Technology, is the key engine driving our technological breakthroughs." Shao Teng, Director of Gureit New Materials Operations Center, shared the outcomes of this industry-academia-research partnership, which immediately captured the delegation's keen interest. This successful model—combining academic expertise with corporate production capacity—not only helped Gureit achieve multiple technological advancements in the field of high-value utilization of renewable resources but also provided a valuable blueprint for future university-enterprise collaborations.
Deep within the factory premises, the head of the Production Department, drawing from real-world scenarios, provided a detailed explanation of the lean management system that seamlessly integrates every step—from raw materials to finished products. He highlighted the company’s robust initiatives in eco-friendly waste treatment and energy consumption control. A teacher representative remarked with emotion: "Witnessing the complete transformation of laboratory materials into industrialized products has been incredibly enlightening for us as we refine our research directions and optimize our curriculum. It ensures that talent development is more precisely aligned with industry needs."
"Breaking through in the research and development of new additives and process optimization is urgently needed, as high-quality talent in fields like materials chemistry and intelligent science is our 'must-have' for achieving sustainable, high-quality growth." During the exchange, Shao Teng expressed his anticipation for collaboration with Fuyang Normal University in tackling technical challenges and commercializing research outcomes. In response, representatives from the university highlighted that the institution’s strategic focus on applied disciplines such as materials chemistry and data science aligns perfectly with Gruitec’s talent and technology requirements. Both sides unanimously agreed to swiftly advance concrete cooperation, including co-building internship and practice bases, jointly cultivating talent, and collaboratively applying for research projects.
This exchange successfully established a "direct channel" for university-enterprise collaboration, laying a solid foundation for future deepened partnerships. Both sides expressed their commitment to seizing this opportunity as a catalyst to continuously promote the mutual empowerment of universities' intellectual resources and enterprises' industrial strengths, thereby contributing to the cultivation of Anhui's new-quality productivity and the province's development into a high-level, innovation-driven region.
